Road Work Ahead: Stay Safe & Prepared with Anderson Towing

Stay Safe & Prepared with Anderson Towing 🚧🚗

At Anderson Towing, we understand that road construction can sometimes feel like a headache—but we also know it’s part of making Anderson a safer and more efficient place to drive. As these improvement projects move forward, we want to encourage everyone to stay alert, drive smart, and leave a little earlier if needed. After all, our families drive these same roads every day, and we want every person in our community to get where they’re going safely and stress-free.

We’re hopeful that once these upgrades are complete, we’ll all benefit from smoother traffic, fewer accidents, and better travel times. In the meantime, have a backup route ready, stay patient with the delays, and if car trouble does strike, just give us a call. We’re always here to provide fast, friendly towing service throughout Anderson County. Whether you need a tow truck in Anderson for a breakdown, accident, or roadside help, we’ve got you covered—day or night.

Here’s a breakdown of some key road projects happening around Anderson right now:

🛣️ I-85 Resurfacing & Bridge Work

Lane closures are in effect along I-85 from mile point 4.03 to 18.7 for major resurfacing and bridge deck repairs. The goal is to improve road quality and safety, with completion expected by September 30, 2025. Expect temporary slowdowns—especially during peak hours—and plan your route accordingly.

🛠️ US 76 (Clemson Blvd) Construction

Several improvements are underway along this busy corridor:

  • Intersection at Electric City Blvd and Martin Lane: Realignment of Welpine Road into US 76 is underway. Temporary lane closures will continue through the summer, with a target completion of August 31, 2025.
  • From I-85 to the Lake Hartwell bridge: Road resurfacing and intersection upgrades are happening here as well, also expected to wrap up by the end of August.

🚦 Midway Road, Harriet Circle, & Crestview Road

This intersection project is focused on improving traffic flow and reducing congestion. Construction officially began in mid-2025, so expect traffic pattern changes and delays as crews work to complete safety enhancements.

🛑 US 29 & Jockey Lot Area Improvements

In the area near the Anderson Jockey Lot, work is progressing on new traffic patterns and safety upgrades. A new traffic signal is set to be installed by mid-July 2025 at the intersection of Highway 29 North with Old Williamston Road and Bowlen Road. Once completed, this should make merging and turning at this busy intersection much safer.
